Xovis develops and manufactures 3D sensors and software solutions for passenger flow management at airports. People counting, queue detection, overflow detection, waiting time measurement, throughput and capacity management – that’s all possible with our Xovis Passenger Tracking System (Xovis PTS). Moreover, professional implementation, on-site planning, initial operation, reliable support and maintenance are part of our full-service approach.
We are a swiss company that was founded in 2008. Since then, Xovis has evolved from a three-man start-up to a high-tech company that employs around 100 people in Switzerland and the USA. Today, more than 70 airports around the globe rely on Xovis PTS.
What makes your products / services stand out?
On the one hand, we offer resilient hardware and software. The Xovis PTS combines 3D sensors and software, both exclusively developed by us. The sensors are mounted on the ceiling, putting them in the best position for an unhindered view of passenger flow. The device captures and computes information on itself and the software can connect an unlimited number of sensors to a Multisensor to cover large areas seamlessly. The data is then visualized on a real-time dashboard.
On the other hand, we offer comprehensive services. The company has its origin in the airport industry and knows it inside out. Our experience comes from many successful projects and close collaboration with airport operators in the last 11 years. We do not just sell a product but a comprehensive service that includes consultation and support whenever you need it, whatever the circumstances. We believe in a direct and personal communication at eye level and it is a core part of our company philosophy to build long-term relationships with our partners.
What brings you to the EXPO this year?
In short, it’s the broad ACI network. Originally, Xovis started exhibiting at ACI-NA Annual Conference & Exhibition in the USA. We were always excited by the networking opportunities of the show. Also, it offers an excellent platform zo present our products and is perfect to make contacts. By experience we know, that there is no such place as an exhibition to establish new and strengthen existing business relationships. So, it happened that we decided to take part in another ACI event – the ACI Airport Exchange. This year, Xovis exhibits at ACI Airport Exchange for the first time. At this show in Abu Dhabi we can meet the most innovative suppliers and airport operators from around the world.
Why should visitors come to your stand and what can they expect to see?
Pictures often say more than a thousand words. That’s why we show our hardware and software live at each show. Our Xovis PTS experts will be on site and are ready to give you an insight on how our system works. Visit us at booth D15.
Which technology or trend do you think will have the biggest impact on the air transport industry in 2019?
Our company was born in the age of buzzwords like Big Data, Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence. And that’s exactly what we believe in and where see the greatest progress in the future. Intelligent networked systems and smart technology are the key.
