Which technology or trend do you think will have the biggest impact on the air transport industry in 2019?
Three key related trends will have the biggest impact on the industry:
– IoT, connecting the quickly emerging ‘smart’ technologies within airports, and driving a more seamless passenger experience
– Machine Learning: to make airports run more efficiently – to make airport staff more effective and efficient. For example, smart airside solutions are being introduced to guide the aircraft in a seamless and most efficient way to meet capacity constraints
– Cybersecurity throughout an airport, which is absolutely critical to be able to keep all the data that runs through an airport safe, private and secure. Maintaining airport’s number one priority of keeping passengers – on the ground, in the air and in the digital world – secure
