OUR HOSTS
We are delighted to be working once again with Aena as the official host of ACI EUROPE Airport Exchange 2009. Aena is intrinsically involved in the management of an extensive network of 47 Spanish airports, while taking responsibility for Spain’s airspace. It also has interest in 16 Latin American airports and holdings in 11 others across the globe. Together, Airport Exchange and Aena are delighted to invite you to Barcelona for this event which provides a single platform for stakeholders within our ever-changing industry. As our host, Aena will be providing a spectacular networking and socialising programme, making this the must attend event of 2008.
The Barcelona expansion plan is developing fast and on programme, with the goal to start operations in the new South Terminal in the first quarter of 2009. With a capacity of 30 million, the new terminal will increase overall capacity to 55 million passengers.
The South Terminal will completely change the experience of travelling to and from Barcelona. I am sure that, with the new facilities, Barcelona airport will be the reference airport in the whole Mediterranean area.
