ACI EUROPE is based in Brussels, Belgium and represents the interests of some 400 airports in 45 countries. Its members account for over 90% of commercial air traffic in Europe.
ACI EUROPE promotes the exchange of industry know-how through its internal committee structure and extensive schedule of conferences and exhibitions. By actively seeking the views of airport members, it generates comprehensive common policies that serve as a reference to the entire aviation industry. ACI works on a day-to-day basis with the institutions of the European Union, the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC) and the European Agency for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL). Colleagues in ACI World Headquarters pursue the same mission with the International Civil Aviation Organisation of the United Nations (ICAO) and other world organisations.
The ACI ASIA-PACIFIC Region has 95 members operating 468 airports in 47 countries. In 2008, these airports handled 1.36 billion passengers, 33.7 million tonnes of cargo and 13.4 million aircraft movements.
